November is the National Fire Safety Month. The early winter brings dry conditions and a high incidence of fires. To enhance employees’ understanding of fire safety knowledge and proficiency in operating fire-fighting equipment, strengthen fire prevention awareness, and implement the fire protection policy of "prevention first, combination of prevention and control, and comprehensive management", our company carried out a fire drill on the morning of November 11. In addition, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training was newly included in this drill.

After all employees assembled at designated locations, Yan Huidong, Chief of the Safety Department, elaborated on the objectives and procedures of this fire drill. Deputy General Manager Shen Mingang also introduced that Dr. Hou from Taicang Jianxiang Xijiao Clinic would be present to instruct participants on key points of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). General Manager Chen Yun delivered a safety mobilization speech to all attendees, stressing the importance of fire safety and requiring all staff to remain vigilant at all times and raise their fire safety awareness.
Upon hearing shouts of "Fire!", employees covered their mouths and noses with wet towels, bent down, and evacuated quickly and orderly via the stairs to the safe zone. Following encouragement and instructions from management, the drill officially commenced. All employees took turns operating fire extinguishers to effectively contain the fire source. This comprehensive and practical drill covered early-stage fire alarm activation, emergency evacuation, and fire extinguisher operation. The drill allowed employees to experience the hazards of fire firsthand, master proper escape methods and fire-fighting skills, and improve overall fire safety awareness and emergency response capabilities. Meanwhile, it served to test and refine the company’s fire safety measures and consolidate the line of defense for safe production. The company will continue to strengthen fire safety training and organize similar drills on a regular basis to ensure every employee can proficiently grasp fire safety knowledge and skills. Fire safety measures will be further optimized to guarantee safe production at the site.

Under Dr. Hou’s instruction, several employees volunteered to practise CPR. With Dr. Hou’s guidance and post-practice review, all staff mastered the basic essentials of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Before performing CPR, confirm a safe environment first and ask a bystander to call 120 immediately. The core procedure is repeated cycles of 30 compressions followed by 2 rescue breaths. Deliver the rescue breaths while turning your head to check the patient’s abdomen.

Every employee gained hands-on experience and deep impressions during this drill. The exercise helped staff firmly establish fire safety awareness, strengthen self-protection capabilities, and master emergency response and evacuation skills for sudden fires, as well as the proper operation of fire extinguishers and fire hydrants. They learned the essentials of CPR under guidance for use in emergencies.
Learning cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) means mastering a "hardcore skill" to safeguard lives. Accidents in life never give advance warning: a family member suffering a sudden myocardial infarction, a friend fainting during exercise, or a stranger suffering electric shock or drowning in public spaces. In these scenarios, ordinary people nearby are often the first to be at the patient’s side. Many lives that might otherwise be lost have been saved thanks to timely help from bystanders. CPR ensures no one is left helpless when accidents strike. It requires no sophisticated equipment and has a low learning threshold. Simply remember the core principle of "30 compressions plus 2 rescue breaths", and you can step forward at critical moments.
This fire drill achieved remarkable results with the attention of company management and active participation of all employees. Every employee gained hands-on experience and learning throughout the exercise. The drill helped all staff firmly establish fire safety awareness, enhance self-protection capabilities, and master emergency response and evacuation skills for sudden fires as well as the proper operation of fire extinguishers. Meanwhile, employees have also basically learned how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on patients in need and acquired its basic techniques.
